Last Monday, the Ministry of Education committee discussed recommendations for the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB). They decided on five key issues. For the SSC exam, a 50-50 weightage between written and activity-based assessments was suggested, alongside updating the 'Naipunya' apps for student evaluation. The SSC exam duration will be 5 hours, covering 10 subjects, with assessment only in the 10th grade. A resource pool of 600 subject-wise teachers will be formed. Mohammad Khaled Rahim, the committee head, highlighted ongoing verification of recommendations, with the report soon to be submitted. The new curriculum rollout plan spans several years, with assessments evolving from class to class. The Ministry formed a high-level committee, led by Mohammad Khaled Rahim, to oversee these changes.
