While affirming his full support for any logical and reasonable demands made in the interest of protecting women's rights, he expressed grave concern over what he referred to as “disgusting and destructive cultures” like homosexuality and transgender identity. He described these as “deadly diseases” that, in his view, pose a serious threat to the family structure, societal values, and the overall stability of the state. Sarjis claimed that these ideas are being spread by individuals he labeled as “mentally disturbed,” and he insisted that such people should be provided with mental health treatment rather than encouragement. He further compared the advocacy of LGBTQ issues to a “cancer” that, if left unchecked, could dismantle everything from the home to the entire nation.
