Dhaka's top terrorists are coming out of prison one after another. So far 6 people have been released on bail. Most of them were in prison for more than one to one and a half years. There are more than a dozen cases including murder. This worries crime analysts. They say that the top terrorists used to control the crime world of Dhaka from the jail. Now it is feared that they may become reckless again.
However, the prison authorities claim that the accused are being released following the rules.
In December 2001, the then government listed 23 top terrorists.
At the beginning of this month, Aslam Hossain alias Sweden Aslam, accused in at least 22 cases including 9 murders, was released from prison.
Earlier, terrorists like Dhaka's top terrorists Sanjidul Imon, Naeem Ahmed Titon, Freedom Rasu, and Picchi Helal came out on bail one by one. A few missing on bail. Most of whom have Interpol red notices hanging on their names. Jail authorities say that these convicts are being released after all legal processes.
Regarding how top terrorists are getting bail, intelligence sources say that the cases, bail, arrest and overall activities of big criminals were always monitored by special branches of police and other intelligence agencies. Kashimpur High Security Jail District Lutfar Rahman said, no one can go without bail. All those who have gone have gone through the correct process.
