Nagad, a Mobile Financial Service (MFS) provider, handed over Tk 5.51 crore of its 2023 revenue to the Bangladesh Postal Department, adhering to their agreement of sharing 51% of its earnings. The cheque was presented by Nagad CEO Tanvir A Mishuk to the Postal Department’s Director General, Tarun Kanti Sikder, in the presence of State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak and other officials. Praising Nagad's digital services, Palak highlighted its role in advancing digitalization in Bangladesh. Nagad, launched in March 2019, has significantly contributed to financial inclusion and now serves over 9.5 crore customers, with daily transactions averaging BDT 1,800 crore.
