The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has issued a fresh heatwave alert for Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barisal divisions for the next 48 hours starting from 6pm on Wednesday. Increased moisture may prolong discomfort. This alert follows earlier warnings on April 19, 22, 25, 28, 30, and May 3, as BMD continues to monitor the region's weather. Over the next 72 hours, Sylhet division may experience rain with gusty winds or thundershowers, while the rest of the country will see mainly dry and partly cloudy conditions with slightly rising temperatures. Rain is expected towards the end of the five-day forecast.
