She received a letter of state recognition from the Upazila Post Master, following a decision made during the 89th meeting of the National Freedom Fighters Council (JAMUKA). Deputy Director Ranjan Ghatak of JAMUKA confirmed this recognition. Marina Khatun expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Freedom Fighters and local supporters for their efforts. Her recognition stems from her mother, Birangana Pachi Bewa, who was detained and tortured during the 1971 independence war, leading to Marina's birth.
