The mother of Zahiduzzaman Tanveen, who died in the movement demanding reform of quotas in government jobs, gave the money deposited in the bank of Zahiduzzaman Tanveen to help the flood victims. His mother, Bilkis Zaman, deposited the money at the TSC of Dhaka University on Sunday, August 25.

Bilkis Zaman said Tanveen used to deposit money in mud banks. I found the bank while cleaning the house. After hearing that relief was being collected at TSC, I left. I gave some materials and cash assistance with the money collected by Tanveen. The loss of her son saddens her, but she is proud that her son gave his life for the country.

Zahiduzzaman Tanveen died after being shot in the Uttara Azampur area of the capital during the quota reform movement on July 18. He was a student at the Gazipur Islamic University of Technology (IUT). His home is Nabinagar upazila in Brahmanbaria district.
