In the midst of the anti-discrimination student movement, several pro-Awami League celebrities attempted to form a counter-platform against the protesting students. A secret WhatsApp group named "Alo Asbei" (Light Will Come) was created, featuring 160 active members, including actress Aruna Biswas. Recently, screenshots from the group leaked on social media, revealing Aruna’s angry comments directed at the protestors. In one of the screenshots, the actress shockingly suggested using "hot water" against the protestors to suppress them, a statement that has stunned her fellow actors and fans.

Reports indicate that Aruna Biswas is currently living in Canada, having moved there shortly after the fall of the government. Speaking to a news outlet from Canada, Aruna expressed her unawareness of the events surrounding the student protests and clarified that her controversial "hot water" remark was misunderstood.

“The truth is, I was sick at the time. I couldn’t keep up with the news for five days when the internet was shut down. I had no idea what had happened to the students during that period,” Aruna stated. She further explained, “Honestly, none of us were against the students. The media portrayed us that way, but we were actually talking about terrorists, not the students.”

Addressing her "hot water" comment, Aruna clarified, “There were talks of a fire breaking out at the hospital, and no one could get in. I said hot water would work. I was referring to the hot water used in water cannons. I didn’t specify water cannons, and I think that’s where the misunderstanding occurred.”
