They also demanded the establishment of a ministry to deal with minority affairs, reserved seats for minorities, and 15 days for student coordinators to act. Sanatani Hindu leaders have stated they will not return to their homes until their demands are met, including compensation and rehabilitation of affected people. They also demanded initiatives to upgrade the Hindu Religious Welfare Trust to a ""Hindu Foundation"" and the Buddhist and Christian Religious Welfare Trust to a Foundation.
