Managed by Sylhet Gas Fields Limited, this gas will be integrated into the national grid within three months. The excavation, conducted by Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration and Production Company Limited (BAPEX), incurred an estimated cost of 150 crore rupees. Over the past seven months, four wells in Sylhet have yielded gas, including Kailashtila's 8th well. The gas pressure in this latest discovery is measured at 3370 psi, with drilling reaching 3500 meters and the gas layer found at 3440 to 3455 meters. Presently, Sylhet contributes 117 million cubic feet of gas daily from 12 wells across four fields, with plans to increase production to 150 million cubic feet and potentially reach 250 million cubic feet daily by 2025, aligning with government targets.
