Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed, the finance adviser in the interim government, has announced the gradual replacement of the Tk5, Tk10, and Tk20 banknotes due to being worn out. He also urged the public to handle currency with care during a press briefing at the Ministry of Commerce. A meeting may be held at the end of this month or next to review the budget for the current fiscal year 2024-25. The adviser met with officials from the Export Promotion Bureau to discuss strategies to increase exports.
