Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) has postponed exams due to student protests against political activities on campus. The decision was made during an academic council meeting, considering the ongoing boycott of classes and exams. The protests stem from the presence of Chhatra League activists, despite a ban on political activities. The new exam schedule will be announced later. This movement against student politics intensified after the murder of student Abrar Fahad by Bangladesh Chhatra League members in 2019. Despite a recent High Court stay on the university's ban on student politics, the protests persist.
