Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the interim government’s Chief Adviser, has donated Tk 100 crore from the Chief Adviser's relief fund to the July Martyrs' Memorial Foundation. The foundation, established to support those injured and the families of victims from the student-led uprising, is chaired by Dr. Yunus and has seven members. This was announced on Tuesday (September 17) by Nahid Islam, Adviser for Telecommunications and Information, during a press conference at the Foreign Academy.

Nahid Islam stated that financial aid will be distributed to the injured within a week, with both one-time and ongoing assistance planned. The foundation's Secretary is Mir Mahbubur Rahman Snigdho, the twin brother of martyr Mir Mugdho. According to the Ministry of Health, the uprising resulted in about 800 deaths and over 20,000 injuries. So far, contact has been made with 700 affected families, with efforts ongoing to reach the rest before a memorial service is held.
