A Dhaka court has ordered the seizure of all properties, both movable and immovable, of former National Board of Revenue official Matiur Rahman and his family, including his wife Laila Kaniz Lucky, son Ahmed Taufiqur Rahman, daughter Farzana Rahman Ipshita, and second wife Shammi Akhter Shewly, over corruption allegations. The Anti-Corruption Commission's application highlighted attempts to transfer and launder assets, totaling Tk 13.44 crore in bank accounts and extensive properties. The court also froze 116 bank accounts and restricted the family's travel, amid an ongoing investigation.
