Bangladeshi Hafiz Nuruddin Zakaria has secured first place in the fourth category of the 46th King Abdulaziz International Quran Memorization, Recitation and Tafsir Competition in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. Zakaria impressed judges with his memorization of 15 Juz of the Holy Quran, along with his recitation and Tajwid skills. A student of Ar-Raihan International Madrasa in Dhaka, he topped 334 contestants from 133 countries. Organized by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs, the competition features five categories and offers 50 prizes, with a total prize pool of 12.6 million Saudi riyals.
