Bangladesh triumphed over Nepal with a 4-1 victory in the final of the SAFF U-20 Championship. This marks the first time a men's team from Bangladesh has won the title in this age-based tournament.

Mirajul Islam starred with two goals and an assist as Bangladesh claimed their first SAFF U-20 Championship title with a dominant 4-1 victory over hosts Nepal in Lalitpur today. Wearing the No. 10 jersey, Mirajul opened the scoring with a stunning free-kick in first-half stoppage time and extended the lead with a close-range header nine minutes into the second half, securing Bangladesh's first SAFF trophy at this level after three runner-up finishes.

Rahul added a third with a curling shot from inside the box in the 71st minute, following Mirajul's dazzling dribble into the area. Despite Nepal's control of possession and a goal from Samir Tamang in the 80th minute, Bangladesh, led by Maruful Haque, showcased clinical finishing. Mirajul, the tournament's top scorer with four goals in four matches, was instrumental in the victory. Piash Ahmed Nova sealed the win with a stoppage-time goal, delivering a measure of revenge for Bangladesh, who had lost 2-1 to Nepal in the group stage.
