Bangladesh has finally managed to beat Pakistan in Test cricket after 13 failed attempts, 21 years after the Multan heartbreak. The two openers, Shadman Islam and Zakir Hasan, secured a 10-wicket win in Rawalpindi. Mehedi Hasan Miraz took four wickets, and Shakib Al Hasan took three, bowling out Pakistan for 146, the lowest total for Pakistan against Bangladesh in Test cricket. Bangladesh's pacers, Shoriful Islam, Hasan Mahmud, and Nahid Rana, took a wicket apiece, leaving them with only 30 runs to chase for a history-first-ever victory against Pakistan. Pakistan's last hope of an escape was lost when Mohammed Rizwan perished while trying to sweep Miraz from outside the off stump. Bangladesh's bowlers wreaked havoc on the Pakistani batting, reducing the hosts to 108-6 and securing their first win against Pakistan in Test cricket.
